US printing-writing paper shipments up 2% in June 2024

The American Forest & Paper Association (AF&PA) has published its June 2024 Printing-Writing Monthly report. According to the report, total printing-writing paper shipments increased 2% in June compared to June 2023.

Total printing-writing paper inventory levels increased 3% when compared to May 2024.

U.S. purchases of total printing-writing papers in May increased 9% compared to the same month last year.

Individually, U.S. shipments in all 3 major P-W categories (UFS, CFS and MECH) increased in June compared to the same period last year. Uncoated Free Sheet shipments increased 1%, Coated Free Sheet shipments increased 4%, and Mechanical papers shipments increased 7%.
